"You're not my type."
Frame Test Decoded · Framework from How to Manipulate Beautiful Women
What she's actually testing
Whether your behavior changes when approval is withdrawn. Specifically: do you need to be her type? The word 'need' is the tell. A man who needs her approval will pivot — soften, reframe, perform. A man who wants her attention might notice the remark. A man operating from genuine abundance doesn't register the category at all.
Why it works on most men
Because most men enter the interaction already positioned as applicants. The moment she names a type, they try to fit it — which confirms she holds the evaluation authority and you're there to pass her criteria. The move is predictable, testosterone-driven, and immediate. She doesn't need to be subtle. She just needs to name a standard.
The response framework
The obvious: 'Fair enough.' Then continue normally. The disruptive: notice that you never asked to be her type. You weren't trying to match a criterion — you were curious about a person. If you respond from that place, the decategorization is complete. You're not performing indifference — you're demonstrating that the category never applied to you in the first place.
